Privacy
Policy.
We collect what we need to roast your coffee and get it to you. Nothing more, and we don’t sell it. Here is exactly what that means.
Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Guest checkout on every order. Create an account only if you want a subscription.
Email a privacy request and we’ll act on it within 45 days, as Texas law requires.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how Barista Plus, Inc. collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit baristapluscoffee.com, place an order, start a subscription, leave a review, or contact us.
It does not apply to third-party sites we link to, which have their own policies.
Information we collect
We collect only what an order actually requires, plus basic information about how the site is used.
How we use it
To take, roast, pack and ship your order, and to charge the correct amount including Texas sales tax. To email you confirmations, tracking, and delivery notices. To run subscriptions, including charging each delivery and letting you skip, swap or cancel.
To answer your questions, resolve problems, and process refunds and replacements. To publish reviews you choose to submit. To detect and prevent fraud, and to keep the records tax and accounting law requires us to keep.
To understand which pages and products people use, so we can improve the store. And, only if you opt in, to send occasional emails about new coffees or offers.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under Texas law.
We do not use your data to build profiles for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
We may also disclose information
Where the law requires it, in response to a valid legal request, to protect our rights, safety or property, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — in which case we will give notice before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
Cookies & tracking
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function — keeping your cart, remembering your session, and securing checkout. These cannot be switched off.
We also use analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages work. You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings; strictly necessary cookies cannot be declined without breaking checkout. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for at least four years to meet Texas tax and accounting requirements. Account and subscription data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Support correspondence is kept for up to three years. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form.
Security
The site runs over encrypted connections, payment data is handled by PCI-compliant processors, and access to customer records is limited to people who need it.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
Your rights
If you are a Texas resident, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act gives you the right to confirm whether we process your data and to access it; to correct inaccuracies; to delete it; to obtain a portable copy; and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling — none of which we currently do.
You can exercise any of these by emailing us with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity using your order details and respond within 45 days, with one 45-day extension where reasonably necessary. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will explain our decision within 60 days.
You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any such email. That does not stop transactional emails about orders you have placed.
Children & changes to this policy
This store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed, and material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
